• Question: Do you get to watch your valves being put into the patient in surgery?

      Hi Lexi, I’m still in the early stages of developing heart valves so they haven’t been put in a patient yet. It can take many years from first designing a valve to finally putting it in a patient because it has to go through a lot of rigorous tests to prove it’s safe and long lasting.

      I have seen a live valve surgery and found it very interesting!
