When I see this question I’m reminded of the guy who wished for world peace and immediately everyone in the world disappeared. With no-one alive in the world it was very peaceful…

I also remember reading a story called the Monkey’s Paw and it was about how you need to be really careful what you wish for. A man wished for £200 (a lot of money at the time of writing) and he was given that exact amount because his son was killed in an accident at work.

Maybe it’s best to work hard for what we desire rather than hope everything comes easily but with potential great cost?

Are we allowed to wish for more wishes? Just kidding. If I had 3 wishes, I’d wish there were more hours in the day and that those extra hours were really sunny (it’s always raining in Glasgow)! Is that two wishes then or one?

My third wish, which is actually my most important one, is no more poverty. I would love to have found a genie lamp for that.

I’m with Matt on the world peace wish. I think the world needs a bit of chaos to be interesting!

I think being able to wish for something and it magically happen is too easy. The greatest achievements are hard-fought, whishing something would happen doesn’t solve anything. I’d abstain from my wishes (although I may choose differently if this actually happened!).
