Hi good question. I did my doctorate on heart valves, and in a doctorate you usually end up specialising in one area. Having said that, the more work I do, the more I build up a lot of skills and experience that I can use to help people working on other medical devices. For example, I have experience modelling and 3D printing, that can be used to help other workers. In the same way, they specialise in an another area and can help me.
